About The Role The Project Manager – International Collaborations is responsible for leading the design and discovery phase of Swinburne’s International Collaborations Strategy project. The role will undertake a comprehensive assessment of the University’s existing international partnerships and collaborations, identify opportunities to enhance strategic value and impact, and develop evidence-based recommendations to inform future investment and partnership decisions. Working closely with stakeholders across Research, Innovation, Schools, and Professional Services, the role will lead consultation activities, conduct analysis of current and external partnership models, and develop executive-level recommendations that support Swinburne’s strategic ambitions under the Ad Astra framework. The position is responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to broader institutional priorities.

This is a part-time .8 FTE, fixed term contract until 21 Dec 2026.

About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

- Demonstrated experience leading complex strategic projects and organisation-wide change, including research, analysis and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including environmental scanning, benchmarking and synthesis of complex information into actionable recommendations.
- Proven ability to design and facilitate stakeholder consultation, build trusted relationships and influence senior and diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic frameworks, business recommendations, and executive-level reports and presentations.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, governance, risk management and delivery in ambiguous environments with competing priorities.
- Experience in higher education, research, innovation or international engagement,



including partnership models, governance and risk.
