About the role
We are seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead major pressure vessel projects and complex infrastructure and energy builds operating with Tier 1 clients. You will join a multidiscipline team working in a vertical integrated company delivering leading edge solutions. Key to this role is robust engineering problem solving and competitive project leadership skills.
Key responsibilities
- Review tenders and work with estimators for solution-based project pricing
- Develop and verify the project management plan with all required stakeholders
- Direct and manage project execution through managing individuals and commitments; influencing upwards the outcomes necessary for successful project delivery
- Develop project schedules to define and sequence project activities then determine required resources and estimate effort/durations to deliver the project activities
- Manage assigned work to meet project needs and proactively working with other team members to ensure those project goals are met
- Identify,
quantify and mitigate project risks in collaboration with the project team, stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Coordinate Internal Resources, Subcontractor, Designer and Supplier
- Manage external stakeholder relationships, communication and expectations regarding project delivery
- Ensure costs are effectively controlled on assigned work and ensuring work is completed within budgeted timeframes
About you
- Degree qualification in Mechanical/Structural Engineering
- Working knowledge and understanding of relevant codes and standards realting to pressure vessels and insualated piping
- Involvement in delivering integrated projects
- Well-developed IT skills and project planning software
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Strong team leader and mentor capable of sound judgment and interpersonal skills to deal with conflict, negotiate and influence outcomes
