Behind that experience is our energy and telecommunications infrastructure, deployed within embedded networks and multi dwelling developments. This includes embedded electricity networks, hot water plant, solar, EV charging infrastructure and Layer 2 wholesale fibre to the premises networks.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Projects division, where you will manage the delivery of energy and network infrastructure projects from start to finish across embedded networks and multi dwelling developments.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager (VIC/SA), you will be the primary point of contact for developers, builders and suppliers throughout the construction lifecycle. You will ensure project scope is delivered against a wide range of commercial, contractual, technical and regulatory considerations, while maintaining strict adherence to SUPA’s standard delivery processes and methodology.

This role will suit someone with a technical foundation who is ready to take their next career step into technical project management. You will bring strong problem solving and lateral thinking and be comfortable operating autonomously to deliver high level outcomes.

What does a day in the life look like?

Managing the delivery of assigned projects from start to finish across SUPA’s Energy and Networks portfolios, including the deployment of electricity metering, hot water plant, solar, EV chargers and fibre to the premises

Tracking project procurement against budgets,



and managing and documenting scope and budget variations in line with SUPA’s variation policies

Interpreting technical documentation such as single line diagrams, network diagrams and shop drawings to inform the design and engineering process

Conducting site inspections and on site WHS auditing of installation contractors to ensure assets and infrastructure are installed in line with designs and quality frameworks

Ensuring project delivery complies with relevant regulatory frameworks and that required regulatory registrations are submitted within required timeframes

Acting as the single point of contact for developers, builders and trades, leading implementation meetings and aligning stakeholders on roles and responsibilities

Providing regular project status reporting through our Project Management system to give visibility of timelines, risks and issues

What you need to be successful in this role?

You might have previous experience in a project coordinator, project officer or similar project delivery role, and you are ready to step up into technical project management within a business that focuses primarily on sustainable energy and connected property.

The key skills you will need in order to be successful in this position are listed below:

Prior experience in a project coordinator, project officer or similar project delivery role A technical foundation in a relevant field A project methodology mindset, with the ability to plan, run and track project timelines

Robust stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to lead meetings and navigate challenging conversations

Initiative and strong problem solving ability, with an aptitude for lateral thinking and driving solutions

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel A current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle





Exposure to the energy or telecommunications sector is advantageous A tertiary or technical qualification in a relevant discipline is preferred, along with a project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or PMI
