Locations: Mildura, Swan Hill & Bendigo, VIC Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) Options Available
At Back2Work, you’ll support individuals facing significant barriers to employment by providing quality psychological therapy and intervention to help people build confidence, improve their wellbeing and become ‘job ready’.
We are looking for passionate Psychologists to join our growing regional Victorian team, with opportunities available across Mildura, Swan Hill and Bendigo.
For candidates who are based outside these locations, we can also explore Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) arrangements, providing greater flexibility for experienced clinicians who are interested in regional work without needing to permanently relocate.
In this role, you will:
- Run onsite clinics delivering evidence-based, practical and tailored psychological interventions for individuals or groups, from teens through to older adults
- Deliver vocational psychological intervention to increase a job seeker’s work readiness, underpinned by work-focused CBT
- Manage your own calendar to meet client needs, workload requirements and service expectations
- Deliver mini mental health training sessions to employment services staff
- Facilitate structured group programs that simulate a work-like environment and support job seekers to establish routine, purpose, social connection, physical activity and motivation
- Implement positive psychological strategies to help individuals manage stress, improve wellbeing and build confidence
- Liaise with local health professionals and community services as required
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key referrers, employment services and other stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with a multi and transdisciplinary allied health team to achieve positive outcomes for clients

If you are entrepreneurial,
ambitious and passionate about supporting individuals experiencing a broad spectrum of psychological, clinical and psychosocial challenges, you might be exactly who Back2Work is looking for. You’ll have the ability to work autonomously while also being part of a supportive and collaborative allied health team.
To thrive in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- An approved Psychology degree
- Full registration or eligibility for provisional registration with AHPRA
- A passion for supporting people experiencing disability, unemployment, mental health challenges and other barriers to employment
- Determination and motivation for ongoing professional growth
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A customer-centric approach and a desire to build strong professional relationships
- A valid Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- The ability and willingness to travel between regional locations where required
Regional & DIDO Opportunities
We understand that regional opportunities can be an exciting career move without necessarily requiring a permanent relocation. For the right candidates, Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) arrangements may be available, allowing you to work across our regional Victorian locations while maintaining your primary residence elsewhere.
This may suit clinicians looking for:
- Greater flexibility around where they live and work
- The opportunity to gain valuable regional clinical experience
- A change from metropolitan practice
- Contracting or flexible employment arrangements
- The opportunity to work in regional communities without permanently relocating
DIDO arrangements will be discussed on an individual basis depending on the candidate, location and service requirements.
