About the Role

n

An chance exists for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Business Services team. This role offers a mix of compliance, advisory, and client-facing work, ideal for someone who wants to move beyond pure compliance into more strategic, value-added services. You will work closely with the Director and play a key role in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

Tax & Compliance

n

n
- Preparation of Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS)
n
- Preparation of statutory financial statements and workpapers
n
- General ledger maintenance and reconciliations
n
- Assist with ATO audits and compliance matters
n
- Liaise with ATO and ASIC on behalf of clients
n

Advisory & Business Services

n

n




- Assist with tax planning for business and high-income clients
n
- Provide business structuring and tax advice
n
- Prepare management reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts
n
- Support high-net-worth clients and complex structures
n
- Contribute to consulting and special client projects
n

n

Client & Team Engagement

n

n
- Manage and maintain strong client relationships
n
- Work collaboratively with team members and the Director
n
- Identify proactive tax and business improvement opportunities
n
- Assist with client file management and internal processes
n

n

Qualifications

n

n
- 8+ years experience in Business Services / Public Practice
n
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards
n
- Excellent communication and client management skills
n
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
n
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
n
- Proactive and commercially minded approach
n
- Valid Australian work rights (no sponsorship required)

Required Skills

- Systems Experience
n
- Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software
n
- Experience with CCH (desirable but not essential)
