3-Month Contract | Moorabbin Location | Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm An established manufacturer within the flexible packaging industry is seeking a hands-on Quality Control Officer for a three-month, full-time temporary assignment.

Supporting the extrusion manufacturing operation, you will be responsible for product testing, quality-system compliance, non-conformance management, investigations and auditing. You will work closely with production teams to address quality concerns and support continuous improvement across the site.

Responsibilities

- Conduct quality control testing and product inspections.
- Investigate non-conformances and support corrective actions.
- Manage hold stock and assist with product disposition decisions.
- Prepare Certificates of Analysis and quality reports.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Monitor compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 requirements.
- Work closely with Operations to identify and resolve quality concerns.
- Support process improvement and product-safety initiatives.
- Escalate quality risks and uphold required standards across the manufacturing operation.

Your Profile To be considered, you will need:

- At least two years’ experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within manufacturing.
- Experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to quality management systems and auditing.




- Strong investigation and root-cause analysis skills.
- Competent Microsoft Office and quality-reporting skills.
- The ability to work independently and confidently on the manufacturing floor.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm for the full three-month assignment.

Experience within flexible packaging, plastics, extrusion, film or food-packaging manufacturing will be highly regarded. Knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP or FSSC 22000, along with experience using laboratory or scientific testing equipment, would also be advantageous.
