About the Roles

We are looking for THREE passionate Rangers to join the Yarluwar-Ruwe Working on Country Program, on a full-time, fixed term basis to play an active role in caring for Ngarrindjeri Ruwe (Country). This is a unique opportunity to combine traditional knowledge with contemporary land and sea management practices while making a real difference for culture, community, and the environment. About the Organisation

Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal Corporation (NAC) is a community-led Aboriginal organisation that works to strengthen the social, cultural, environmental, and economic wellbeing of the Ngarrindjeri people. Guided by Ngarrindjeri culture and connection to Ruwe (Country), NAC delivers programs that support community development, cultural heritage, environmental management, education, training, and employment while creating opportunities for current and future generations.

Your Key Responsibilities

· Protect and care for Ngarrindjeri Ruwe (Country) through environmental conservation, habitat restoration, and natural resource management activities.

· Support the protection of cultural heritage sites and work alongside Traditional Owners, Elders, and community members to strengthen cultural connections to Country.

· Undertake land, water and Sea Country management activities, including wildlife monitoring, weed control, revegetation, and fire management.





· Collect field data, maintain records, and contribute to the safe and effective delivery of Ranger projects and programs.

About You

You are passionate about the environment, cultural heritage, and working on Country. You have strong teamwork and communication skills, enjoy working outdoors, and can engage respectfully with community members and stakeholders. Experience in land management, conservation, environmental programs, or related fields is desirable.

· Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with community members, Traditional Owners, and stakeholders.

· Passion for caring for Country, protecting cultural heritage, and supporting environmental conservation outcomes.

· Reliable, adaptable, and self-motivated, with the ability to work outdoors and contribute to a variety of land and water management activities.

· Commitment to safe work practices, cultural respect, and continuous learning and development

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

· Understanding of Ngarrindjeri culture and community with knowledge of environmental, conservation, land management, or Caring for Country practices.

· Relevant qualification in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, Natural Resource Management,



Environmental Management, Indigenous Land Management, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.

· Experience working outdoors in land management, conservation, natural resource management, community projects, or similar field-based roles.

· Current Driver's Licence and the ability to successfully obtain and maintain [TBC] a National Police Check, Working with Children Check and Fitness for Work Check.
