The Recruitment Officer Role

Are you up for a challenging role in the Human Resources Department? We are seeking a highly motivated individual with recruitment experience, excellent communication and administrative skills, and a desire to learn and improve. As part of a small recruitment team, you will be responsible for a range of recruitment activities in a fast-paced blue-collar environment at Harvey Beef.

Key Responsibilities

- Alongside current recruitment officers ensure all end-to-end recruitment needs are met at the Harvey Beef site for production employees.
- Daily review of all applicants from advertising platforms and reporting of progress
- Conduct job interviews and reference checks to ensure candidates' skills and qualifications match the job requirements.
- Ensure all onboarding and offboarding requirements are met, including checking work rights, booking pre-employment medicals and preparing for inductions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour legislation, implementing required changes to keep company recruitment processes compliant.
- Act as a single point of contact for managers regarding recruitment topics
- Participate in job fairs and career events
- Develop and maintain advertising and new opportunities to recruit talent across the business

Selection Criteria

- Previous exposure to high volume recruitment (Desirable)
- Fast thinking, energetic and motivated




- Ability to source candidates from a wide range of resources in a challenging economic environment
- Have a broad understanding of a range of HR functions
- Able to manage a hiring process to ensure the staffing needs of an organisation are fully met at all times
- Meat Industry experience would be an advantage
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of products
- Experience in working with different visa streams would be an advantage
