Horizon Nexus Partners

Melbourne

We’re growing - and we’re looking for a Recruitment Manager who wants to do more than fill roles.

Reporting to our Chief People Officer, you’ll own our talent acquisition function end-to-end, partnering with leaders across the firm to attract exceptional people, build meaningful talent pipelines and create an onboarding experience that makes a great first impression from day one.

This is an opportunity to help shape how we attract, select and welcome talent into a growing professional services firm. You’ll have the autonomy to bring fresh ideas, challenge traditional recruitment practices and build processes that are contemporary, technology-enabled and genuinely human.

You’ll be joining a collaborative People & Culture team where things move quickly, priorities evolve and everyone is willing to roll up their sleeves. If you’re commercially minded, naturally curious and passionate about creating excellent candidate and employee experiences, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll do

Own the recruitment lifecycle

- Partner with the People & Culture team and hiring leaders to understand workforce requirements and translate them into effective recruitment strategies.
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process, from role briefing and sourcing through to screening, interviewing, offer management and close-out.
- Develop creative sourcing strategies across LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, agencies and other channels.
- Build strong talent pipelines and proactively engage high-calibre candidates.
- Ensure every candidate has a professional, engaging and consistent experience throughout the recruitment journey.
- Track and analyse recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, source effectiveness and quality of hire.
- Provide hiring managers with market insights, salary intelligence and practical advice to support informed hiring decisions.

Create an onboarding experience people remember

We believe onboarding should be more than a checklist.

- Design and deliver an innovative, technology-enabled onboarding experience that makes new employees feel welcomed, connected and set up for success.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure onboarding is delivered consistently across the firm.
- Manage pre-employment checks, contracts and employment documentation.

- Continuously review and improve the onboarding journey based on feedback and data.
- Support early-stage engagement and retention initiatives to ensure new employees have a strong start.

Build our early careers talent pipeline

Help us become the employer of choice for the next generation of professional services talent.

- Design and deliver engaging graduate and early careers recruitment programs.
- Build relationships with universities, student organisations and emerging talent networks.
- Coordinate campus events, career fairs and employer branding initiatives.
- Manage assessment centres, interviews and selection processes.
- Develop internship and vacationer talent pipelines where relevant.
- Monitor diversity and inclusion outcomes across early careers recruitment and identify opportunities to improve.

Partner with the business

Recruitment is a team sport, and you’ll be at the centre of it.
- Build trusted relationships with Partners, Managers and key stakeholders across the firm.
- Coach hiring managers on recruitment best practice, interviewing and candidate experience.
- Work closely with Marketing on employer branding, talent campaigns and recruitment content.
- Manage external recruitment agencies and migration specialists where required.
- Become a trusted advisor to leaders on talent market trends and recruitment strategy.

Make recruitment better

We’re not interested in doing things simply because “that’s how they’ve always been done.”
- Ensure recruitment practices align with employment legislation, internal policies and best practice.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, systems and tools.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Use data and insights to identify what’s working, what isn’t and where we can improve.
- Champion diversity, equity and inclusion across our hiring practices.

- Look for smarter ways to use technology and automation without losing the human connection that great recruitment depends on.

What you’ll bring

You’re an experienced Talent Acquisition professional who understands that recruitment is both strategic and deeply human.

You’ll ideally bring

- 4+ years’ experience in talent acquisition, ideally within professional services or a corporate environment.
- Experience designing or managing graduate and early careers recruitment programs.
- A fresh, contemporary approach to recruitment and a genuine interest in how technology can enhance — not replace — the human experience.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with everyone from graduates to Partners.
- A collaborative, hands-on attitude. We’re growing, so a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in is essential.
- A data-driven mindset and experience using recruitment metrics and insights to improve decision-making.
- Experience working with ATS platforms, LinkedIn and other sourcing tools.
- Curiosity, initiative and the confidence to challenge the status quo.

How we’ll measure success

Your success won’t just be measured by how many roles you fill.

We’ll look at

- Time-to-fill and quality of hire
- Hiring manager satisfaction
- Candidate experience and feedback
- The quality and consistency of our onboarding experience
- Graduate and early careers program outcomes
- Graduate retention and engagement
- The strength of our talent pipelines
- Our reputation as an employer of choice for emerging talent

Why join us?

This is a chance to build something, not just inherit it.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape our recruitment strategy, influence how leaders hire, introduce new technology and create experiences that help differentiate us in a competitive talent market.

We’re building a contemporary professional services firm that wants to attract the brightest minds in the industry and this role will be instrumental in making that happen.

If you’re excited by the idea of building a talent function, challenging traditional recruitment and creating an exceptional experience for every candidate and new starter, we’d love to meet you.
