Blue Shield Family General Practice is seeking a professional, reliable and motivated Registered Nurse / Practice Nurse to join our friendly, established two-doctor general practice in Kogarah. This is a part-time position with a minimum of 18 hours per week, suitable for an RN who enjoys general practice nursing and working as part of a small, supportive team.
Key responsibilities
- Immunisations and vaccine administration
- Wound care and dressings
- Chronic disease management and care-plan support
- Health assessments
- Patient observations and clinical triage
- ECGs, spirometry and other routine clinical procedures
- Assisting doctors with minor procedures
- Recall and reminder management
- Vaccine inventory and cold-chain management
- Maintaining the resuscitation trolley and emergency equipment
About you
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Robust organisational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and accurate documentation
- Ability to prioritise clinical responsibilities and work independently within scope of practice
- A reliable, professional and team-focused approach
- Good computer skills and ability to work with general practice software
- Previous general practice nursing experience, immunisation qualifications and familiarity with primary care systems are highly regarded
