A Registered Nurse with experience in school nursing is needed for a contract position in Jewett City, CT. This role is ideal for an RN who is passionate about supporting childrens health and well-being within an educational environment. The nurse will provide essential health services, manage health plans, and collaborate with school staff to ensure a safe and healthy learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide nursing care and first aid for students during school hours
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Conduct health screenings and monitor student health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with chronic conditions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student health needs
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with school policies and regulations
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate appropriate care or referrals

Qualifications and Experience:

- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN)



license in Connecticut
- Previous school nursing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pediatric health issues and school health programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- CPR and First Aid certification
