About The Role

We’re hiring Registered Nurses now! Immediate starts available.

We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our SAPOL and Community Nursing teams across South Australia.

This is an excellent prospect for RNs looking for varied clinical work across correctional healthcare, community nursing and other healthcare services.

For our SAPOL team, you will provide essential healthcare to detainees and support SAPOL staff during overnight shifts, including health assessments, triage, medication management, acute care and hospital avoidance.

Our Community Nursing team provides person-centred clinical care to clients in their homes and community settings.

SAPOL –

- Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality nursing care to detainees and SAPOL staff.
- Conduct health assessments, triage and clinical observations.
- Assess detainees for Fit for Custody in line with your scope and training.
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Respond to acute health concerns and medical emergencies.
- Support hospital avoidance where clinically appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate with GPs and other healthcare professionals.
- Complete required forensic procedures — full training provided.
- Work independently and confidently as the nurse on shift.

Community Nursing –

- Key Responsibilities

- Provide safe, person-centred clinical care in clients' homes and community settings.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and clinical interventions.




- Support clients with ongoing and complex health needs.
- Develop and maintain appropriate clinical documentation.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, GPs and other healthcare professionals.
- Identify and escalate changes in client condition appropriately.
- Deliver care in accordance with AHPRA standards and Lumia Care policies.

Current SAPOL Locations &
- Shifts Christies Beach –
- Weekday morning to afternoon; weekend evening shifts

City Watch –

- Weekday day shifts; weekend night shifts

Elizabeth –

- Weekday day shifts; weekend night shifts

Port Adelaide –

- Weekday morning to afternoon; weekend evening shifts

About You We are looking for RNs who are confident, clinically capable and ready to start quickly.

You Will Have

- Bachelor of Nursing.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
- Minimum 3 years' acute nursing experience for SAPOL positions.
- Strong clinical assessment, triage and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing clinical priorities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Community nursing experience is highly desirable for community positions.

Mandatory Requirements

- National Police Clearance.
- Unrestricted South Australian Driver's Licence.
- WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening clearances.
- Current Manual Handling, First Aid and CPR.
- Required vaccination evidence, including COVID-19 and influenza.
- Ability to meet all relevant clinical and compliance requirements.
