About the role

Milikapiti Sports and Social Club is seeking a motivated Management Couple for relief coverage to oversee the operation of our Sports Club and 9-room Motel, located in the beautiful coastal community of Milikapiti on Melville Island. This is a hands-on management role, with both managers responsible for the full operation of the club and accommodation facilities. The club operates four nights per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, 4:30pm–7:30pm) and includes a Bistro that provides takeaway meals to both club patrons and the wider community.

You will be supported by a dedicated team of staff working across the Bar, Gate, Bistro and Takeaway. Management support is also provided for assistance.

Key responsibilities

- Opening and closing the club (4 nights per week)
- Staff transport (pick-up and drop-off)
- Cleaning and maintenance of club grounds and amenities
- Stocking bar fridges and managing stock control
- Complying with all licensing and legislative requirements
- Weekly stock ordering in line with barge schedules and unloading weekly deliveries (bar, bistro, and general supplies)
- General grounds and facilities maintenance
- Bookkeeping duties, including tills, floats, banking, and reconciliations; managing debtors and creditors; basic Excel and Word use
- Managing accommodation bookings and responding to guest needs




- Overseeing motel cleaning, lawn care, and general maintenance
- Care for Manager's 2 x French Bulldogs, House and grounds.

About you

- Experience in a small hotel, club, or hospitality management role
- Strong leadership and staff management skills, including rosters, training and support
- Excellent customer service and a community-focused approach
- Financial management and bookkeeping experience (at least one manager required), preferably with MYOB — transferable accounting system experience also accepted
- Housekeeping skills (linen processed onsite)
- SWIFTPOS knowledge or the ability to learn quickly (training available)
- Solid organisational and problem-solving abilities
- NT Security & Crowd Control Licence (assistance provided; police clearance required)
- RSA, Senior First Aid, Food Licence and/or Food Supervisor Certificate, Forklift licence (for stock handling)
