Perched in a prime position on Eagle Street with sweeping views of the Brisbane River and Story Bridge, we've built a reputation for delivering bold, refined food and a sophisticated dining experience that locals and visitors return to time and again.

As we move into an exciting new chapter, we're seeking a talented and driven Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations under the guidance of Executive Chef and co‐owner Brendon Barker. This is a rare opportunity to take the helm of a high‐performing kitchen during a major venue renovation and relaunch — evolving a successful institution into its next phase.

About the Role

This leadership role will see you:

n

Oversee day‐to‐day kitchen operations in a bustling, premium restaurant setting

n

Lead, develop, and mentor a professional team of chefs and kitchen staff

n

Collaborate with the Executive Chef on new seasonal menus and future direction

n

Ensure consistency, creativity, and precision across every service

n

Manage ordering, stock control, labour planning, and GP targets

n

Uphold the highest standards in food safety, hygiene, and compliance

n

What We're Looking For

n

Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous in a high‐volume, quality‐focused restaurant

n

Natural leadership and communication skills — calm, transparent and confident

n





A hands‐on operator with an eye for detail and a passion for consistency

n

Menu planning and costing experience, with sound knowledge of kitchen systems

n

Ability to foster a positive, professional kitchen culture and get the best from your team

n

Creative flair, strong technique, and a love of outstanding food

n
