Job Description

You will be responsible for preparing and completing individual and business tax returns, company, trust and sole trader tax returns, financial statements, BAS and other relevant compliance work as well as complete accurate working papers, client correspondence and queries, and ensuring all work complies with current Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

n

Prepare and complete individual and business tax returns

n

Prepare and complete company, trust and sole trader tax returns

n

Prepare financial statements

n

Complete BAS and other relevant compliance work

n

Prepare complete and accurate working papers

n

Handle client correspondence and queries

n

Ensure all work complies with current Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards

n

About you

n

5+ years' experience in Australian accounting/public practice

n

Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and current legislation

n

Ability to independently prepare tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts and sole traders

n





Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

n

Strong organisational and time-management skills

n

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

n

Professional, friendly and client-focused manner

n

Excellent customer service skills and confidence dealing directly with clients

n

Ability to keep up to date with changes to Australian tax legislation

n

Ability to produce complete, accurate work with full supporting working papers
