About the Opportunity

Edward Jacobs is currently working with a leading engineering consultancy in Sydney, NSW, who is looking to hire an experienced Road Designer with Transport for NSW (TfNSW) experience.

This opportunity is ideal for a Road Designer who is looking to take the next step in their career and wants to work on significant road and transport infrastructure projects while continuing to develop their technical capabilities.

You will have the opportunity to contribute across different stages of project development, including strategic, concept and detailed design, while working closely with engineers, project managers and other design professionals.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Road Designer with:

- Demonstrated experience working on TfNSW projects
- Strong professional experience in road and transport infrastructure design
- Experience across strategic, concept and/or detailed road design
- Strong understanding of road design principles and relevant standards
- Experience with Bentley OpenRoads and/or MicroStation
- Experience with horizontal and vertical roadway alignment design
- Experience with corridor modelling and 3D road design
- Experience with superelevation design and implementation
- Experience developing cross sections and undertaking quantity calculations




- Strong technical design and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to produce high-quality design documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team
- A relevant Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent experience

Experience with AutoTURN, road safety or construction/site-based delivery will be highly regarded.
