We are seeking a Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team at Quest Watergardens in Watergardens, Victoria. This is a casual position offering flexible working arrangements. As a Room Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that our guests expect from our accommodation facilities. Your work will directly contribute to creating a welcoming setting and ensuring guest satisfaction during their stay with us.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms to the highest standards, including changing bed linen, towels and other furnishings
- Perform thorough cleaning of bathrooms, including sanitising fixtures, cleaning mirrors and floors
- Vacuum carpets, mop hard floors and dust all surfaces within guest rooms
- Restock guest amenities such as toiletries, tea and coffee supplies, and other essentials
- Report any maintenance issues, damage or defects to management promptly
- Ensure rooms are inspected and meet quality standards before guest arrival
- Follow established cleaning schedules and prioritise room turnover efficiently
- Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment by following health and safety protocols
- Respond professionally to guest requests and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in housekeeping, room cleaning or a similar hospitality role (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks,
lift items and work in various positions throughout the day
- Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work casual hours as required
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanour
- Understanding of health and safety practices in a hospitality setting
- Willingness to learn and adapt to our cleaning procedures and standards
