At InHome Care SA (IHCSA), we're passionate about helping older South Australians remain independent and connected in the comfort of their own homes. We're looking for an experienced and motivated Rostering Officer to join our supportive team and play a critical role in delivering exceptional care services across metropolitan Adelaide.

As a Rostering Officer, you will coordinate, monitor, and continuously improve rostering processes to support efficient service delivery for older Australians. You’ll work closely with staff, clients, and families to balance operational needs with staff wellbeing and client satisfaction!

What You’ll Be Doing:

Workforce Scheduling and Service Coordination

- Create and maintain efficient rosters that align client requirements with support worker availability, skills, and preferences.
- Maximise workforce utilisation by identifying opportunities to increase engagement hours and minimise scheduling gaps.
- Respond proactively to roster changes, staff absences, cancellations, and service disruptions.
- Ensure appropriate coverage while maintaining a balanced and sustainable workload for staff.
- Monitor daily service delivery and make real-time roster adjustments as required.

Relationship Management and Communication

- Build positive relationships with clients, families and support workers to understand availability, preferences, and care requirements.
- Maintain clear, timely communicationregarding roster updates or adjustments.
- Resolve rostering challenges with a solutions-focused approach.
- Anticipate issues before they arise and implement strategies to minimise disruptions

Compliance & System Management

- Ensure all rosters comply with SCHADS Award requirements, including shift engagements, breaks, travel considerations, overtime, and rostering rules.
- Maintain accurate records to support payroll,



reporting, and compliance obligations.
- Utilise rostering systems efficiently and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

About You:

You'll be highly organised, adaptable, and able to remain calm under pressure. You thrive on solving problems, balancing competing priorities, and building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will also ideally bring:

- Proven experience in rostering or scheduling, ideally within aged care or disability services.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to plan ahead and resolve conflicts efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with rostering systems and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Understanding of the SCHADS Award and its impact on scheduling and payroll.
- A genuine passion for supporting older Australians.
- Willingness to participate in a rotating on‑call roster.
- Ability to speak fluent Greek (Advantageous but not essential)
