Are you passionate about RTO Training and Compliance and have an interest in the mining and emergency services sector?
Are you interested in a role that has a great variety of work in one of Australia’s largest RTO’s that delivers a broad range of technical emergency response rescue, public safety, high risk and medical training.
If so, we are looking for a talented and experienced RTO Training and Compliance Coordinator on a full-time basis in our Balcatta Head office to ensure our RTO delivers the highest standard of compliant training and education to our clients and students.
About the Role
You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in the provision of emergency response and safety training by overseeing all aspects of RTO operations, ensuring compliance with the Standards for Registered Organisations (RTOs) 2025 and ensuring the development and upgrading of relevant training programs meet the requirements of those standards and all other regulatory bodies.
Your experience in meeting an RTOs obligation in monitoring and reporting from our student management system and ensuring that training and assessment strategies, RTO policies, processes and procedures are reviewed and amended is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audits to ensure student files are compliant with ASQA requirements.
- Ensure all accredited training and assessment materials and strategies are compliant with ASQA requirements
- Meet the RTO obligations checklist (AVETMISSS - quarterly, Quality Indicator, Declaration of Compliance etc), working with the Training team to amend any errors within the specified timelines
- Perform mapping of curriculum documents and assessment tasks against the requirements of training package units
- Manage pre-use and post-use validation of training and assessment materials and student results for quality and compliance
- Prepare and/or review marketing materials and website to ensure compliance is met
- Review and update RTO policies, procedures, documents and forms as required
- Monitor and amend changes to RTO Scope and Registration in the Asqanet portal
- Administer coaching and professional development opportunities for trainers and administrative staff
- Other duties as directed by the General Manager and/or the CEO.
Candidate Must Possess:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in RTO Management functions
- Solid understanding and experience working with ASQA Standards for RTOs 2025
- Excellent communication skills and strong written and spoken English
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (focus on Word/Excel)
- Available to work full-time hours is preferred
- Attention to detail
Highly Regarded
- Previous experience in the emergency services industry
- Student Management System experience (Powerpro or similar)
- Previous experience in the creation of training and assessment material
