ABOUT US

MANIAX is the first and largest urban axe throwing company in Australia, creating fun, memorable and protected experiences since 2014. We host groups for team-building events, birthday celebrations, hens and bucks parties, date nights and epic get-togethers with a bunch of mates for any occasion.

We're all about axes, bevs and banter — bringing people together for an axe-perience they won't forget. We operate venues across Victoria, New South Wales, ACT, Queensland and Western Australia, and we're still growing.

ABOUT YOU

You're the first voice a guest hears, and you make it count. You're curious about people, quick to spot what an event actually needs, and confident asking for the booking.

You enjoy the rhythm of a busy sales desk - enquiries landing across phone, email, live chat, socials and our AI agent - and you're organised enough that nothing slips. You care about detail because you know a mis-keyed booking ruins someone's birthday.

You're motivated by targets rather than intimidated by them, and you'd rather solve a problem than escalate it. A working knowledge of puns, Vikings and craft beer won't hurt your chances.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Based at our Abbotsford head office, the Sales & Events Coordinator converts enquiries into bookings and makes sure every MANIAX guest - nationally - has an axe-cellent experience from first contact to final throw.

This is the entry point into the MANIAX sales team,



with a clear path through to Sales Specialist and Senior Sales Executive as you build your track record.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Convert incoming enquiries into confirmed bookings across every channel - phone, email, live chat, social and online forms
- Maximise booking value by recommending the MANIAX products and add-ons that genuinely fit the group
- Look after guests before and after their visit, resolving issues quickly and protecting repeat business
- Work with Venue Managers to make custom and unusual requests happen
- Keep customer and pipeline records accurate and current in HubSpot and our booking systems
- Proactively reach out to past and prospective customers to generate and retain bookings
- Bring ideas to cross-functional projects that improve the MANIAX offering

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

- Sales and/or customer service experience in a high-volume environment, with a record of hitting targets
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry
- Solid written and verbal communication
- The ability to juggle multiple enquiries without dropping any of them
- Initiative - you'll back yourself to work something out rather than wait to be told
- Australian working rights

Nice to have, not essential: experience with a CRM (HubSpot especially), or with booking software such as ROLLER, FareHarbor, Venue Sumo, OpenTable or SevenRooms. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
