Science Teacher – Years 7–10

ABC College Cabramatta is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Science Teacher to join our tutoring centre. The successful applicant will teach students from Years 7 to 10 and help them strengthen their scientific knowledge, skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach engaging Science lessons to students in Years 7–10.
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the NSW Science curriculum.
- Explain scientific concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to suit different learning needs.
- Assist students with schoolwork, assessments and examination preparation.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive, organised and supportive classroom environment.
- Communicate with parents and centre management regarding student progress when required.

Essential Criteria
- Sound knowledge of the NSW Science curriculum for Years 7–10.
- Previous classroom teaching or tutoring experience.
- Solid classroom-management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage, motivate and support students of varying abilities.
- Reliability,



professionalism and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
- A current Working with Children Check.

Desirable Criteria
- NSW-qualified teacher or currently completing a recognised teaching qualification.
- NESA accreditation.
- Previous experience teaching in a NSW school.
- Previous experience working in a tutoring or learning centre.
