The Opportunity Our client is an established and growing accounting and business advisory practice supporting a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses, professionals, investors and high-net-worth individuals.

Continued growth has created an opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager to join the firm in a senior, client-facing position with a genuine pathway to Manager.

This role extends well beyond traditional compliance work. Working alongside the Partners and Manager, you will take responsibility for reviewing work, managing client relationships, guiding less-experienced accountants and contributing to the continued development of the practice.

You will be supported by an established team of intermediate and junior accountants, allowing you to focus on higher-level review, advisory work, workflow management and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Reviewing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS for companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs and individuals.
- Preparing technically complex financial statements and tax returns where required.
- Managing a portfolio of business clients and developing trusted, long-term advisory relationships.
- Assisting clients with tax planning, business structures and broader commercial matters.
- Reviewing work completed by intermediate and junior accountants.
- Providing technical support, coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Coordinating workflow and ensuring assignments are delivered accurately and within agreed timeframes.




- Meeting directly with clients to understand their businesses, challenges and objectives.
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen client outcomes and improve internal processes.
- Contributing to the growth, capability and positive culture of the wider accounting team.

About You To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally bring:

- At least five years of Australian public practice accounting experience.
- A completed CA or CPA qualification.
- Solid technical capability across Australian taxation, compliance and business advisory.
- Proven experience reviewing financial statements and income tax returns.
- Previous responsibility for supervising, mentoring or developing junior accountants.
- Strong client relationship and communication skills.
- The ability to organise competing priorities and manage multiple deadlines.
- A genuine interest in progressing into a broader leadership and management role.
