About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team at our Belmont NSW office on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting services to our valued clients. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in the delivery of quality accounting solutions, working across multiple client engagements whilst maintaining the highest standards of professional practice.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare, review and finalise financial statements and tax returns for clients across various industries
- Manage and supervise accounting projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope
- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation for compliance purposes
- Assist with tax planning and compliance matters, including GST, PAYG and company tax obligations
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff in their professional development
- Maintain compliance with professional accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the firm's service delivery excellence
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through quality service and clear communication

What we're looking for

- A degree in Accounting,



Finance or related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
- Membership of a recognised accounting body such as CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), or the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), or demonstrated progress towards such qualification
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in accounting, auditing or financial advisory roles
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax legislation and financial reporting requirements in Australia
- Proficiency with accounting software packages and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements and prioritise work effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
- A professional approach to client service with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes
- Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms would be advantageous
