Senior Financial Accountant An opportunity exists for a motivated Senior Financial accountant to join the Family office of a well-known retailer. The office manages the affairs of various family members across a wide scope of investments, asset classes and is constantly changing.

This is a full-time office based role located in the heart of the CBD reporting directly to a Financial Controller and working with a team of 8 others. The role will offer exposure to two different businesses within the Family Office – the Private Credit business and investments/property financial management.

To be successful in this role, you will be an enthusiastic and confident individual who demonstrates initiative, maturity and a willingness to get involved in any task thrown your way.

The key responsibilities/duties of this role are (but not limited to):

· Full responsibility for maintaining accounting records, monthly account preparation

· Tax return workpapers and returns for trusts, companies and individuals and quarterly PAYG and GST reporting

· Company secretarial work for numerous entities





· Management of investment transactions and maintenance of investment documentation

· Maintenance of capital gains registers for investments and properties

· Monthly loan calculations and maintenance of loan movements in the Loan management system

· Monthly loan book reporting, including the Dashboard, Balance Sheets, P & L’s and cashflow

· Assist the Private Credit Manager with any loan book requirements

· Ad hoc work as and when required

Reporting directly to a Financial Controller, the ideal candidate will possess:

· CA/CPA qualified with at least 5 years' experience with public practice preferred

· Strong IT/Excel skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail

· Desire to always put the client first, no matter how easy or hard the task is
