We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Advisor to provide strategic coordination, reporting, project and policy support to the Executive Manager. This is a pivotal role that sits at the centre of executive decision-making, ensuring leaders have access to high-quality information, advice and support to deliver organisational priorities and strategic objectives.
As the Senior Advisor, you will act as a trusted partner to senior leadership, providing expert advice, coordinating complex business activities and ensuring the quality, accuracy and timeliness of information flowing to and from the Executive leaders.
You will work across a broad range of strategic and operational priorities, driving collaboration, enhancing internal processes and supporting key organisational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate responses to requests from Ministerial Offices, central agencies, executive leadership, government stakeholders and the public.
- Support and coordinate the presentation of complex reports, submissions and governance documentation, ensuring compliance with organisational protocols and standards as well as onboarding for new staff in the Energy,
Climate Change and Sustainability (ECCS) Group and Group wide activities.
- Lead coordination activities and initiatives that improve business processes, communication and staff engagement across the Group.

About You
You are a highly organised and politically astute professional with exceptional written communication skills and a proven ability to work effectively in complex and rapid-moving environments.
You will bring
- An understanding of the ‘machinery of State Government’, attention to detail and prioritisation.
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives in a government, public sector or complex organisational environment with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Outstanding writing, editing and communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level briefings, reports and correspondence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret and synthesise complex information.
Essential Requirements
- Understanding of complex regulatory or policy environments and the ability to navigate governance processes.
- Proven ability to prepare and manage high-quality written material for senior decisionmakers in complex organisational settings.
- Tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field.
