Rae Recruitment is excited to partner with a well-established, 40-staff accounting firm in Parkville to recruit an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper who enjoys taking ownership of their work, building genuine relationships with clients and being part of a supportive, close-knit firm.

You’ll work across a varied client base and have plenty of direct client contact, including face-to-face meetings, while being trusted to manage your workload with a good level of autonomy.

What you’ll be doing:

- Managing bookkeeping requirements across a varied portfolio of clients
- Preparing BAS and completing reconciliations
- Managing payroll for a range of businesses
- Accounts payable and receivable
- General ledger and month-end bookkeeping
- Working across MYOB and Xero
- Assisting with the preparation and lodgement of Income Tax Returns
- Liaising directly with clients and attending client meetings
- Ensuring client records and files remain accurate and compliant

Who we’re looking for:

- Around 4+ years' bookkeeping experience




- Public practice experience will be highly regarded
- Strong Xero and/or MYOB experience
- Confidence communicating directly with clients
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Comfortable managing your own workload and priorities
- Someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative and supportive team
