About the Role
n
This is a field-based role focused on supporting members to improve store performance, strengthen retail execution and deliver robust commercial outcomes.
n
As a Business Development Manager, you'll work closely with independent retailers, providing practical advice, insights and guidance to help lift standards, drive sales and enhance customer experience. Reporting to the Regional Manager - Central, you'll play a key role in delivering consistent outcomes across your territory.
n
You'll operate predominantly in the field (targeting four days per week), building strong relationships and ensuring effective delivery of LMG programs and initiatives. Regular travel within your territory is required, with a strong and consistent in-field presence critical to success.

Key Responsibilities
n

- Build strong relationships with members through regular store visits and structured engagement
n
- Provide practical advice and support to improve store performance, standards and customer experience
n
- Ensure consistent execution of national programs, promotional activity and retail standards
n
- Identify opportunities to drive sales growth, improve profitability and enhance in-store execution
n
- Support store development initiatives including relays, refurbishments and ESL implementation
n
- Use data and insights to guide performance conversations and identify opportunities
n
- Maintain accurate records of store visits and member interactions within CRM systems
n
- Support onboarding of recent members and integration into LMG programs and standards
n
- Partner with internal teams to support program delivery and improve member outcomes
n

About You
n
You are a commercially minded relationship builder who enjoys working in a field-based role and supporting retailers to improve performance. You bring strong communication skills, a hands-on approach and the ability to build trust and influence outcomes at store level.
n
n
- At least 2 years' experience in an account management or business development role ideally within the retail liquor or FMCG industry.
n
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Practical understanding of retail operations, merchandising and store standards
n
- Ability to identify commercial opportunities and drive improved outcomes
n
- Confidence using data and insights to support decision-making
n
- Strong organisation and planning skills with the ability to manage a structured call cycle
n
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
n
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly within your territory
n
- A current RSA, or have the ability to obtain one.
n
- Experience within liquor, hospitality or franchise/member-based networks will be highly regarded.
