About The Role

n

Casual Dispensary Assistant/Technician, you will support the Pharmacist in the effective operation of the dispensary.

n

Your Responsibilities Will Include

n

n
- Assist with dispensing operations under the supervision of the Pharmacist
n
- Coordinate the receipt and distribution of incoming stock
n
- Manage stock rotation and monitoring shelf life to optimise inventory use
n
- Handle the return or disposal of expired or damaged items in accordance with policy
n
- Assist with stocktaking of medical and dental supplies in line with Defence policies and procedures
n
- Provide customer service and general dispensary support as required
n

About You

n

As the ideal applicant you will have:

n

n
- A certificate-qualified non-pharmacist Dispensary Assistant/Technician qualification, a Dispensary Technicians Course Certificate, or equivalent
n
- At least 2 years' full-time experience as a Dispensary Assistant/Technician within the last 5 years
n
- Recent participation in Continuous Career development (CPD) activities
n
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
n
- Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance
n

About the Location

n

Robertson Health Centre is located within Robertson Barracks in Holtze, approximately 15 km east of Darwin.

n

The facility supports approximately 2,800 Defence personnel, along with a significant Reserve component. The Barracks also host an additional 2,500 US Marines on a rotational basis from May to September each year. The Health Centre provides comprehensive services including primary medical, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy, and mental health care, and operates a 22-bed, 24/7 inpatient ward. Standard operating hours are 7:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
