Job Description
KINCROME is looking for an experienced Videographer / Video Editor to join our in-house media team in Scoresby.
n
This is a hands-on creative role for someone who knows their way around a camera and knows an editing suite hotkey or two.
n
You'll work alongside an established media team creating everything from fast-paced social content and product launches through to national campaigns, YouTube series, automotive and 4WD content, events and longer-form storytelling.
n
Video is the priority. Photography plays a part, but we're primarily looking for a strong camera operator and editor who knows how to turn an idea into something people actually want to watch.
n
If you were here the last two weeks, you would have...
n
n
- Shot a major product campaign on a live civil construction site - video, photography and social content.
n
- Spent a day in the studio editing, building campaign cuts and shooting product imagery.
n
- Headed to Bass to film our Build Wars YouTube series and capture lifestyle product photography.
n
- Planned upcoming campaigns, reviewed current projects and prepped future shoots.
n
- Captured fast-turnaround social content with brand ambassadors at a trade show.
n
- Travelled to Tasmania for five days filming Build Wars and helping develop our dedicated production camera car.
n
- Wrapped the fortnight back in the edit suite, organising footage and getting the next round of content underway.
n
n
That's a real two weeks in the KINCROME media team — and a pretty good example of the variety this role offers.
n
What the role actually is
n
You'll shoot, and you'll edit. Both matter.
n
You'll work closely with our Content Production Lead and existing production team across projects of very different scales.
n
You'll be involved throughout the production process - from developing ideas and planning shoots through to camera operation, lighting, audio, editing, colour, sound and final delivery.
n
You'll create content across:
n
n
- Commercial and brand campaigns
n
- Short-form and social-first content
n
- YouTube and longer-form productions
n
- Automotive, 4WD and motorsport content
n
- Product launches and promotional films
n
- Interviews and documentary-style stories
n
- Educational and how-to content
n
- Events and behind-the-scenes coverage
n
- Studio and on-location productions
n
n
Our cameras take us into studios, workshops, garages, racetracks, construction sites, trade shows, 4WD tracks and locations across Australia.
n
Photography also forms part of our team's output, but this is first and foremost a video production role.
n
What you'll be doing
n
n
- Operating professional camera systems across studio and location productions.
n
- Shooting people, products, vehicles, interviews, events and real-world environments.
n
- Working confidently with lighting, lenses, audio, gimbals and production equipment.
n
- Editing both short-form and long-form content from raw footage through to final delivery.
n
- Creating content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and broader advertising campaigns.
n
- Handling colour, audio, music, graphics and finishing.
n
- Working with talent, ambassadors, customers and people who aren't necessarily comfortable in front of a camera.
n
- Contributing ideas and helping develop concepts and shoots.
n
- Managing footage and projects as part of our shared production workflow.
n
- Occasionally jumping behind a stills camera when required.
n
n
Who we're looking for
n
This isn't an entry-level position.
n
We're looking for a mid-weight creative or above with professional video production experience who can confidently arrive on location, pick up a camera and start creating.
n
You'll ideally bring:
n
n
- Strong video editing skills with a positive instinct for pacing and storytelling.
n
- A solid understanding of lighting, composition, exposure and audio.
n
- Experience taking projects from shoot through to polished final delivery.
n
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a production team.
n
- Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
n
- The ability to adapt when a shoot doesn't quite go to plan.
n
- A willingness to travel and occasionally work outside standard hours for shoots and events.
n
- A current driver's licence.
n
n
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or another professional editing platform is welcome - we're more interested in the quality of your work than which NLE you use.
n
Photography, motion graphics, After Effects, drone, live production or streaming experience is a bonus, but you don't need to tick every box.
n
n
- Work across a genuinely diverse mix of productions.
n
- Professional camera, lighting, audio and production equipment provided.
n
- Dedicated in-house studio and production facilities.
n
- Opportunities to travel for shoots, campaigns and events.
n
- Work across both short-form and long-form storytelling.
n
- Genuine creative input into the content we produce.
n
- Join an established media team rather than working as a one-person content department.
n
- Competitive remuneration package.
n
- Learning and development opportunities.
n
- Access to our onsite gym.
n
n
Most importantly, you'll be joining a team that genuinely cares about making good work.
