Finance Business Partner / Senior Accountant

Our client is a well-established and growing NDIS and Community Services organisation seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner / Senior Accountant to lead and strengthen its finance function.
n
This is an opportunity to step into a broad and influential role where you'll work closely with senior leadership, provide meaningful financial insights, support strategic decision-making and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the organisation.

The Opportunity
n
Reporting directly to CEO and Senior Leadership team you will take ownership of the finance function and play a key role in supporting both operational and strategic objectives.
n
On a daily basis this position is responsible for ensuring all financial operations are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with legislative, taxation, NDIS, and organisational requirements.
n
This role offers a balance of financial reporting, business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and team leadership, while providing the opportunity to influence how the organisation continues to evolve and grow.
n
Key areas of responsibility include:
n
n
- Financial reporting, analysis and business performance monitoring.
n
- Prepare monthly management accounts including profit & loss, balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
n
- Lead month end and year end financial close processes.
n
- Budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning.
n
- Executive-level business partnering and decision support.
n
- Compliance, audit and statutory reporting oversight.
n
- Payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable governance.
n
- NDIS funding, revenue and service profitability reporting.
n
- Leadership, mentoring and development of the finance team.
n
- Continuous improvement of finance systems,
processes and controls
n

About You
n

To be successful, you will bring:

- Formal accounting qualifications and CPA/CA qualification (or close to completion).
n
- Experience in financial accounting, management reporting and budgeting.
n
- Knowledge of the SCHADS award
n
- Strong commercial and analytical skills.
n
- Experience managing BAS, GST, taxation and statutory reporting obligations.
n
- Advanced Excel and financial systems capability.
n
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
n
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
n
- Exceptional work ethic and high levels of integrity to match the company culture.
n
n
Experience within Community Services, Disability, Healthcare or not-for-profit environments will be highly regarded.
