Your new role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in civil infrastructure design and delivery to support the planning, procurement and execution of capital works projects. This role will suit an engineer who can confidently manage projects from concept and design through to contractor supervision and project completion.

- Manage the design and delivery of capital works projects across roads, drainage, footpaths and streetscape infrastructure.
- Prepare and review engineering specifications, tender documentation and contract documentation.
- Administer construction contracts and manage contractors, consultants and key stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Develop project budgets, cost estimates, schedules and progress reports.
- Coordinate site inspections and ensure quality assurance requirements are achieved.




- Support the planning and development of long-term roads, drainage and footpath infrastructure programs.
- Provide technical engineering advice to internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia.
- Strong experience delivering civil infrastructure projects, particularly roads, pavements and drainage.
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration and contractor management.
- Experience preparing specifications, tender documentation and engineering estimates.
- Sound understanding of road construction principles, pavement design and drainage infrastructure.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience working within local government or a similar infrastructure workplace will be highly regarded.
