AMP Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Communications Technicians / Fibre Technicians for a long-term project based in Murrarie.

You’ll be working in a team of two, carrying out audits on existing communications and control infrastructure, with a robust focus on fibre testing, documentation and accuracy.

The Role

- Conduct audits on existing control panels and communications infrastructure
- Verify as-constructed drawings against existing installations
- Check cable labels, identification and documentation
- Complete fibre testing using OTDR equipment
- Record findings and maintain accurate project documentation
- Work closely with another technician in a two-person team

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

- Optical Fibre Endorsement
- Strong hands-on OTDR testing experience




- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and accurately

Highly regarded:

- Experience using Fluke CertiFiber Pro
- Cat 6 / Cat 6A testing experience
- Control panel auditing or inspection experience
- Previous leading hand or senior technician experience
- Robust QA and as-built documentation experience

This role would suit an experienced communications technician who is confident with fibre testing and enjoys detailed QA, auditing and documentation work.
