About the role

Our client, a well-established law firm with a robust reputation for client service, is looking for an experienced Senior Conveyancer to take ownership of their conveyancing practice and grow with the firm.

This is not a file-processing role. You'll manage your own matters from instruction to settlement, be the primary point of contact for the firm's clients, and set the standard for how conveyancing is delivered. As the practice grows, you'll step into a team lead position, with the firm's next conveyancing hire expected to report to and support you.

What you'll be doing

- Running residential and/or commercial conveyancing files end to end, from initial instructions through to settlement and post-settlement
- Managing client relationships directly and maintaining the high standards of service the firm is known for
- Liaising with agents, brokers, lenders and other parties to keep matters moving
- Completing settlements through PEXA and managing matters in Smokeball
- Identifying ways to improve processes and workflows within the conveyancing practice
- Progressing into a team lead role, with responsibility for mentoring and overseeing future conveyancing staff

What we're looking for
- A minimum of 4 years' experience as a Conveyancer, running your own files independently from start to finish
- Hands-on experience with PEXA




- Experience with Smokeball is highly regarded (but not essential; training will be provided)
- A mature, self-assured approach; you're confident in your own judgement and comfortable being trusted with autonomy
- Personable and genuinely client-focused, with the communication skills to manage clients through what is often a stressful process for them
- Ambition to take your career to the next level and lead a team

Working arrangements The role will be fully on-site initially while you settle in and get to know the firm, its clients and its systems. Once that trust is established, the firm is open to a hybrid arrangement of up to a few days per week from home. Please note this is not a fully remote position.
