Senior Designer Freelance Senior Designer — Out-of-Home Campaign (2-Week Contract)

Location: Remote (must be based in Australia with full working rights)

About The Role We’re looking for an experienced Senior Designer to lead the design setup for a high-profile Out-of-Home (OOH) campaign, as part of a global brand rollout. This is a fast-moving, high-visibility project.

You’ll translate brand assets and creative direction into a full suite of templates, layouts, and typesetting across all formats — working hand-in-hand with a Video Editor.

What You’ll Do

- Lead the design and template setup for a 20-placement OOH campaign, working from brand assets and creative direction
- Interpret and adapt existing brand assets to fit varied, sometimes non-standard, out-of-home formats and dimensions (e.g. large-format screens with secondary strips or panels needing consistent skinning)
- Establish typesetting, layout, and templated structures that a Video Editor can then take through to full versioning
- Partner closely with the Video Editor, working hand-in-hand to ensure a smooth handover of assets and templates
- Apply creative production instinct to bring consistency across all placements — this is a production-led role rather than ground-up concept/creative development
- Deliver static placements and set up the framework for video assets, working to a tight timeline

What We’re Looking For





- Proven experience as a senior designer in advertising, production, or agency environments
- Strong experience with out-of-home (OOH) or large-format design, including adapting layouts across varied dimensions, orientations, and non-standard formats
- Confidence working from established brand guidelines and creative direction — this role is about production with creative instinct, not new concept development
- Experience building templates and structured files that a video editor can efficiently take over for versioning
- Strong collaboration skills — you’ll be working in close partnership with a Video Editor, essentially as a two-person production team
- Excellent attention to detail, strong typesetting skills, and ability to meet fixed deadlines

Based in Australia with full working rights (required) Software & Technical Skills

- Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop (essential)
- Adobe InDesign (for large-format layout and typesetting)
- Adobe After Effects (advantageous — for setting up templates that translate into motion/video work)
- Robust understanding of file setup and specs for out-of-home and large-format digital signage
- Comfortable working within, and extending, existing brand style guides

Logistics

- Fully remote — no in-office attendance required
- 1-2-week engagement: 7–18 September (design lead role, primarily front-loaded in the first week)
