Risk Analysts / Senior Risk Analysts – AML & Financial Crime Investigations

We’re looking for experienced Risk Analysts and Senior Risk Analysts to join a leading financial services organisation within its Financial Crime function

This is a hands-on investigations role , focused on assessing high-risk customer activity, identifying financial crime risks and delivering clear, evidence-based recommendations.

What you’ll do

- Conduct AML/CTF and sanctions investigations across complex and high-risk customers.
- Analyse transactional activity, customer profiles and associated networks.
- Assess financial crime risks and make clear, defensible recommendations.
- Apply relevant legislative, regulatory and internal requirements to investigation outcomes.
- Identify and escalation potential regulatory breaches and emerging financial crime risks.
- Work with Line 1 stakeholders to determine appropriate customer treatment.
- Manage cases independently and deliver quality outcomes within agreed SLAs.
- Contribute financial crime expertise to projects, process improvements and capability uplift.

What you’ll bring





- 2–4+ years’ experience in AML/financial crime investigations or a related risk function.
- Demonstrated experience investigating AML/CTF and sanctions matters .
- Strong understanding of financial crime risks, typologies and indicators.
- Ability to analyse complex information and develop transparent, evidence-based risk assessments.
- Knowledge of relevant financial crime legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with transaction monitoring platforms or similar financial crime systems.
- Strong judgement, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Confident stakeholder communication and the ability to explain risk and recommendations clearly.

6–12 month contract opportunities , with potential for some roles to convert to permanent.
