The Firm

Our client is a well-established family law firm with a genuine focus on resolving matters efficiently and, wherever possible, outside the courtroom. With a Sydney CBD team of around 15 sitting within a group of roughly 30 lawyers, they need a Senior Family Lawyer who can run a caseload independently while mentoring more junior members of the team as the practice continues to grow.

Salary Range:

$170K - $200K + | can be negotiated based on experience etc.

About the Role

You will run family law matters end-to-end, from initial instructions through negotiation and mediation to court proceedings where required.

- Manage a caseload of complex property, parenting and financial matters independently
- Draft and negotiate consent orders and binding financial agreements
- Appear in mediation, conferences and court as required
- Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to junior lawyers and support staff
- Contribute to the family law practice's growth as the group expands





What You'll Bring

- 7-10+ years PAE in family law, with a track record of running your own files
- Current unrestricted NSW practising certificate
- Robust technical knowledge across property, parenting and financial agreement matters
- Confidence appearing before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
- A genuine interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyers
- Based in or able to work from Sydney CBD
