MTP Services is seeking a hands-on Senior Finance Officer / Finance Manager to join our team on a permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for a finance professional who is ready to take on more ownership, broaden their experience and continue progressing their career.

Working directly with our CFO, you’ll be involved across the full finance function - from month-end, reporting and payroll through to budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis. You’ll also have the opportunity to support and develop other members of the finance team and help us improve the way we do things as MTP continues to grow.

Our business operates across recruitment and project services, which means our finance team works in a busy and varied environment covering contractor payments, payroll, invoicing, project financials and multiple billing arrangements.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll take on a broad range of responsibilities including:

- Managing day-to-day finance operations
- Month-end close, reporting and invoicing
- Employee and contractor payroll
- Accounts receivable and cash-flow management
- Preparing budgets and forecasts
- Management reporting and financial analysis
- Bank and balance-sheet reconciliations
- Monitoring financial performance and investigating variances
- Supporting audit, compliance and statutory reporting
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business on financial and commercial matters
- Supporting and developing Finance Officer/s




- Identifying opportunities to improve and automate finance processes
- Supporting finance-system and operational improvement projects
- Working closely with the CFO on ad hoc analysis and projects

About You You might already be a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant, or you could be an experienced Finance Officer who is ready to take the next step.

What matters most is that you’re hands-on, confident across the numbers and looking for an opportunity where you can continue to grow.

Ideally, you’ll have:

- Strong hands-on finance experience
- Experience with month-end close and reporting
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Experience across payroll, invoicing, reconciliations and cash flow
- Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy
- The confidence to work directly with a CFO and senior stakeholders
- Experience supporting, mentoring or managing other team members
- A commercial mindset and willingness to understand the broader business
- An interest in improving and streamlining finance processes
- Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar finance platforms
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

Experience within professional services, recruitment, contracting, project services or another high-volume environment would be highly regarded. Why MTP?
