About the role

You'll be working solo across established maintenance clients and current project work. You arrive with a work order already prepared. We diagnose and scope the job before you get there, so you're not quoting, not chasing money and not handling cash.

Access is organised in advance. Client contact is minimal by design - you get in, do the work to a high standard, and get on with your day. If you're on site and you can see something we've missed, you tell us.

You're not a set of hands - you're an operator we're trusting to notice things.

Key responsibilities

- Reticulation - fault-finding, repairs, solenoids, valves, controllers, coverage and pressure
- Lawn and soil - renovation, soil health, wetting agents, feeding programs, turf repair
- Trees and shrubs - pruning, shaping, structural work, plant health
- Transformations - garden makeovers, planting, mulching, reshaping beds

About you

- Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience in gardening or landscaping
- Able to fault-find and repair reticulation on day one - this is not negotiable
- Competent across lawn and soil, trees and shrubs, and transformation work
- Current WA driver's licence
- Own vehicle fitted with a towball to hook up our trailer
- A genuine self-starter - minimal supervision,



but someone who follows a system rather than doing it their own way
- Understanding of regenerative horticulture - soil biology, water efficiency, reducing chemical dependence (a real bonus)
- Cert III Horticulture or equivalent (though proven competency is valued)

About us Garden Doctor is a Perth garden care business built on regenerative practice - improving soil biology, water efficiency and plant health so gardens get better every year instead of surviving on inputs and guesswork. We're growing. Our work is currently concentrated south of the river, with expansion north already underway. This is the first senior operator role in that growth, and the person who takes it will be running the field side of the business as it scales.
