Senior Manager, Technology Risk and Cyber Security — Perth

You'll lead cyber security, technology risk and resilience engagements for clients across Western Australia, with an established national practice behind you and genuine influence over how the local capability grows.

This is a build role as much as a delivery role. The Perth team is expanding, and you'll help shape what it offers and who sits in it.

The essentials

- Perth based, hybrid
- Client: an international advisory firm, growing its technology risk and cyber security capability in Perth off the back of a well established national risk advisory practice

What you'll actually do

- Lead complex engagements end to end: risk assessments, IT audits, cyber maturity reviews, control assurance, governance reviews and operational resilience work, including technical oversight and quality review of what goes out the door
- Own the commercials on your portfolio: scope, budget, resourcing, timelines, billing and delivery risk
- Turn findings into practical mitigation plans, improvement roadmaps and reporting that senior stakeholders can act on rather than file
- Build and deepen client relationships across the WA market, spotting needs early and shaping opportunities with Partners and Directors
- Coach and develop the team, covering resource planning, utilisation, performance development and review of their output
- Help design and improve the service lines themselves as the practice scales

What you'll need

Essential:

- Track record leading cyber security, technology risk, IT audit, control assurance or resilience engagements,



from consulting, professional services or an in-house risk function
- Working knowledge of the frameworks Australian clients are measured against, for example the ACSC Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, APRA CPS 234 and sector standards such as the Australian energy sector framework
- Commercial engagement management: you've run scope, budget, resourcing and quality on your own book of work
- Experience developing client relationships and converting them into recent work
- Experience managing, coaching and quality reviewing other people's engagement output

Nice to have:

- Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, SABSA, ISO 27001 lead auditor or implementer
- A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification
- IT general controls experience supporting financial audit
- A recognised project delivery credential such as PRINCE2
