About the role

n

This is a hands-on, site-based role for someone who knows how Sydney and/or Melbourne construction actually works. You'll own end-to-end delivery of data centre critical power projects valued from $20M + for UPS, LV/MV switchgear, batteries and energy storage, transformers, busway, power distribution and modular power & Cooling solutions. Depending on the pipeline you'll run a single major project or several projects concurrently.

What you'll do

n

Lead end-to-end project planning, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning (Levels 1-5), progress reporting, tracking variances, invoicing and operational handover.

n

Administer the contract — Notices of Delay,



EOT claims, variations, progress claims and Security of Payment obligations.

n

Own the schedule, budget, risk register and commercial position, and escalated exposures early.

n

Coordinate installation, FAT/SAT, Level 1–5 commissioning, ICA witnessing, handover and defect closure.

n

Manage subcontractors and approved service partners on scope, quality, WHS, programme and documentation.

n

Work across sales, engineering, supply chain and services internally — and directly with our overseas factories on production, drawings, FAT and shipping.

n

Drive a strong safety culture — SWMS, permits, isolations and LOTO in live and energised environments.

What you'll bring

n

5+ years in project management across data centre, critical power or electrical infrastructure projects, including end-to-end delivery ownership.

n

A track record delivering large, complex, technical infrastructure projects — you know the stakeholders and the subcontractor market, and how EBA and union conditions shape programme on NSW and/or Victorian sites.

n

Real contract administration experience — you've written the notices and built the EOT claims, not just heard about them.

n

Strong grasp of Australian standards and WHS obligations, AS/NZS 3000, SWMS, permits and handover requirements, and how WorkSafe NSW and/or Victoria operates.

n

Experience coordinating with overseas factories or offshore engineering teams.

n

Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Construction Management; PMP or PRINCE2 preferred; current White Card essential.

Data centre experience highly regarded
