Job Description
CPC Engineering is a proudly West Australian-owned and operated Design, Construct and Project Management specialist with more than 50 years of industry experience.

Following our recent appointment as EPCM Contractor for the Mt Bundy Gold Processing Project, we are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Superintendent to lead the Project Safety team.
n
About the Role
n
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide professional HSE leadership and advice across the project, working closely with supervisors, managers, employees and the client to ensure a safe, compliant and productive work environment.
n
This is a hands‐on site-based role where you will play a key part in driving safety performance, managing risk and supporting our Zero Injury philosophy.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Provide HSE advice and support to project leadership, supervisors and work teams.
n
- Develop, review and implement project HSE documentation, including HSE Management Plans, JHAs, SWMS and risk assessments.
n
- Monitor compliance with client requirements, legislation, standards and CPC Engineering systems.
n
- Conduct site inspections, audits, task observations, JSA and Take 5 reviews.
n
- Identify hazards and unsafe practices and take appropriate action, including stopping work where required.
n
- Assist with incident, hazard and near-miss investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed out.
n
- Facilitate site inductions, toolbox meetings and safety training.
n
- Support injury management and return‐to‐work processes.
n
- Maintain accurate HSE records and ensure MYOSH is kept up to date.
n
- Support continual improvement initiatives and promote a strong safety culture across the project.
n
- Represent CPC Engineering at client meetings, audits and incident reviews.
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent.
n
- Proven experience within mining, construction, engineering at Superintendent level.
n
- Sound knowledge of WA mining and WorkSafe legislation, regulations, codes and standards.
n
- Demonstrated experience with risk management, safety management systems, audits and incident investigations.
n
- Experience developing and reviewing SWMS, JHAs, risk assessments and other WHSE documentation.
n
- Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Strong report writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Ability to deliver safety inductions and in-house training.
n
- High level computer literacy and experience with safety management systems; Mitti experience will be highly regarded.
n
- Current WA Driver's Licence.
