MLEA – Brisbane QLD (Hybrid)
Full-Time | Flexible Hours | Salary: commensurate with experience
Looking for a senior role where you feel valued, supported, and inspired - not burnt out?
If you’re an AHPRA-registered OT with solid experience across adult, NDIS or aged care community work, and you’re ready to bring that experience into a role with more clinical oversight, we’d love for you to read on. We’re looking for someone ready to step into a senior role - mentoring junior therapists, supervising students, and having real input into how we do things clinically - while still keeping a caseload of your own and doing the client-facing work that brought you into OT in the first place.
At MLEA, we value quality over quantity. That means a manageable caseload, strong admin support, and genuine flexibility around your life - even in a senior role.
A bit about the day-to-day
You’ll support clients across community, NDIS and aged care settings, helping them work toward meaningful, functional goals in real-life environments. Your caseload may include:
- Functional Capacity Assessments
- Home modifications and complex housing assessments
- Supported Independent Living recommendations
- Assistive technology and equipment prescription
- NDIS and aged care reporting
- Collaboration with families, support coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams
This is a mobile, community-based role - no two days look the same. Some might involve home or community visits, others spent writing reports or connecting with your team. Alongside your caseload, you’ll support our junior OTs through case discussions, supervise students on placement, and help us keep improving clinical quality across the team. You’ll also be part of our Senior Team,
working closely with our Practice Manager and leadership group on the direction of our adult services.
How we try to look after you
Manageable caseloads matter to us - we’d rather you do great work with the clients you have than rush through more of them. We also make sure the mentoring and supervisory parts of your role are properly supported, not just added on top of an already full plate.
Flexibility is real here too - hybrid work and flexible hours to help things fit around your life. And as we continue to grow, there’s real scope to progress into more senior or leadership positions over time.
You’ll also have
· CPD allowance and paid CPD leave
· Time off in Lieu (TOIL) and 9-day fortnight arrangements
· Laptop, phone, and full travel reimbursement or novated lease options.
· Regular clinical supervision, plus support in your own supervisor role
· A comfortable, ergonomic workspace — sit-stand desks, anti-fatigue mats and quiet/sensory-friendly spaces when you need to reset
· Fresh fruit and healthy snacks in the office. As well as some not so healthy ones.
What it’s actually like at MLEA
From day one, you’ll notice we do things a little differently here. We genuinely prioritise well-being and professional growth, not just productivity - because we know allied health work can be emotionally and cognitively demanding,
and we take care of our team the same way we ask our team to take care of clients.
That means no pressure to hit unrealistic billable targets, no overtime culture, and no feeling like you’re just another name on the roster - senior or otherwise. In practice, that looks like monthly wellness days, a book club, regular social events, a Wednesday sensory hour to help everyone reset, and an EAP app with a 24/7 helpline if you ever need support. We run Christmas celebrations twice a year (July and December), regular stress-down days, and genuine recognition - including peer-nominated shoutouts and feedback loops that make sure valuable work doesn’t go unnoticed.
You’ll also get proper support day-to-day: regular supervision and check-ins, CPD allowance and paid CPD leave, and access to an employee discount platform to help stretch your pay further. It's a team that celebrates your wins, has your back through the harder days, and genuinely wants to see you thrive - both as a clinician and as a mentor to others.
