Join Meli's Care Services team and play a pivotal role in strengthening outcomes for children and young people in care.

As a senior practice leader, you'll help drive high-quality, trauma-informed service delivery, provide expert guidance to practitioners, and contribute to continuous improvement across our Targeted Care Packages program. This is an opportunity to combine direct practice with leadership, working collaboratively with carers, families, stakeholders and colleagues to create safe, stable and nurturing environments where children and young people can thrive.

As a **Senior Practitioner

- Targeted Care Packages (TCP)**, you will:
- Provide specialist practice leadership, guidance and secondary consultation to support high-quality, child-centred and culturally safe care services.
- Oversee program compliance, quality assurance and risk management activities to ensure services meet legislative, contractual and organisational requirements.
- Carry a case load while identifying practice, performance and risk trends to inform continuous improvement and strengthen program outcomes.
- Mentor, supervise and support practitioners, while building strong partnerships with carers, DFFH and key stakeholders to promote placement stability and positive outcomes for children and young people.

Position Details

- Full-time, fixed term position until 26 November 2027
- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $105,834 p/a + Super & Salary Packaging

What We’re Looking For

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work,



Psychology or another relevant field
- Significant post-qualification experience in delivering case work and therapeutic interventions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the child protection and Care Services systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and service providers.
