About the Company
Our client is a well-established organisation involved in the planning and delivery of significant infrastructure projects across Queensland. With a strong pipeline of activity in Far North Queensland, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their project delivery team.
This role will suit an experienced project leader who combines strong people management capability with sound technical understanding and project delivery experience.
Working collaboratively with project teams, contractors, consultants and stakeholders, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex civil infrastructure that will provide significant long-term benefits for the region.
About the Role The Senior Project Manager will play an important role in supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure projects, providing experienced project leadership across multiple stages of the project lifecycle.
Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will coordinate project teams, consultants, contractors, suppliers and technical specialists, ensuring resources and priorities are effectively managed to support successful project outcomes.
A key aspect of the role will be providing leadership and direction to project resources while maintaining a strong understanding of the technical, commercial and operational considerations associated with infrastructure delivery.

Your Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, resources, consultants, contractors and specialist providers.
- Support complex infrastructure projects across planning, design, procurement,
preconstruction, construction and commissioning.
- Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality and governance to support successful delivery outcomes.
- Provide project and technical input across design and construction activities, including contract administration.
- Ensure project activities align with relevant engineering standards, specifications, legislative and operational requirements.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and foster a collaborative, accountable and safety-focused project environment.
Skills and Experience Required
- Demonstrated experience managing the delivery of complex projects within civil infrastructure, construction, engineering or a comparable technical environment.
- Proven supervisory or management experience, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and effectively coordinate resources and workloads.
- Strong project management capability across scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, contracts, quality and stakeholder engagement.
- Sound technical understanding of infrastructure or construction delivery, with civil construction and road/transport experience highly regarded.
- Experience managing consultants, contractors and specialist providers throughout different stages of the project lifecycle.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and decision-making capability, with a practical and collaborative approach to delivery.
Qualifications
- Project management qualifications, including a Diploma in Project Management,
highly regarded.
- Relevant engineering, construction, infrastructure or technical studies and/or demonstrated industry experience.
- Civil Engineering degree advantageous but not essential.
