The Role As a Senior Project Manager , you’ll lead multiple projects from early planning and business case development through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
Your responsibilities will include
- Leading complex building and infrastructure projects across the Northern Territory.
- Managing projects within operational health, education, justice and secure facilities.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
- Coordinating consultants, contractors, authorities, operators and end users.
- Establishing project governance, reporting and decision-making frameworks.
- Managing programme, budget, scope, quality, procurement and risk.
- Planning project staging to minimise disruption to essential services and facility operations.
- Navigating complex stakeholder, security, safety, probity and compliance requirements.
- Providing clear, strategic advice throughout planning and delivery.
- Supporting project commissioning, operational readiness and handover.
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a solid delivery culture.
- Supporting business development, client retention and acquisition, and the continued growth of D&P; Management.
What you bring
- At least 8 years’ experience delivering building, civil or infrastructure projects.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in construction management, engineering, architecture or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects through multiple phases of delivery.
- Strong client, stakeholder and consultant management capability.
- Experience in health, police, corrections, education or other government and social infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
- The ability to work effectively in live, operational or security-sensitive environments.
- Strong commercial awareness and a practical delivery focus.
- Sound knowledge of design, procurement and construction processes.
- Excellent written communication, reporting and governance skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the confidence to take ownership and lead through complexity.
