Senior Project Manager — Major Confidential Infrastructure Development (Pre-Contract → Delivery) | Sydney | Contract, ABN A confidential principal in the digital infrastructure sector is bringing on a Senior Project Manager to take a major development from its final pre-contract phase through to full construction delivery. This is one of the largest privately funded infrastructure programs in the country right now, and the mandate is genuinely end-to-end: shape how it gets contracted, then lead it through to handover.

We're looking for someone who has run complex, engineering-led projects; power, water, marine, rail, resources, defense, ideally with Tier 1 contractor combined with client-side delivery on their CV, and who is just as comfortable across the table from a client or board as they are across the table from a contractor.

What you'll own

Pre-contract

- Lead scope definition, design coordination, and procurement strategy ahead of construction mobilization
- Run tender and trade-letting processes, working closely with commercial/QS teams on cost benchmarking and contract structuring
- Manage consultant and contractor relationships through design development, ensuring technical and commercial alignment before contract award
- Set up the governance, reporting,



and controls framework the project will run on once construction starts

Through delivery

- Own construction-phase delivery end-to-end; safety, quality, cost and schedule as the project's continuity lead from contract award onward
- Manage the head contractor and key consultants through construction, driving performance against program and budget
- Lead client and stakeholder reporting through delivery, keeping decision-makers ahead of risk rather than reacting to it
- Coordinate commissioning and handover, closing out the program you helped structure from day one

What you bring

- 10-15 years delivering complex, capital-intensive projects; infrastructure, utilities, resources, or heavy engineering
- Demonstrated Tier 1 delivery experience, either contractor-side or client-side
- Comfortable operating across the full lifecycle including pre-contract scoping and negotiation through to construction delivery and handover.
- Solid client-facing and stakeholder management skills — this role sits close to decisionmakers throughout
- Engineering or Project Management background (civil, mechanical, electrical, or construction management) preferred
