About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who has been actively developing production-grade Python applications for several years and possesses strong software engineering and problem-solving skills.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services, building and consuming REST APIs, integrating with AWS cloud services, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Python applications.
- Build, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI or similar.
- Develop cloud-native applications utilizing AWS services.
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to integrate applications into AWS environments.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Work with Git for source code management, version control, and collaborative development.
- Design and optimize SQL queries and interact with relational databases.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work in an Agile development environment with cross-functional teams.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 3 years of hands-on Python development experience with robust coding and software engineering skills.
- Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Strong experience with FastAPI (or similar Python web frameworks such as Flask or Django REST Framework).
- Experience developing applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Good understanding of AWS services such as Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, or API Gateway.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Strong SQL skills with experience working on relational databases.
- Experience with databases such as Redshift, Percona MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Grafana for monitoring and visualization.
- Experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and scheduling.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies.
