National Maintenance Manager – Fleet & Assets

Competitive Salary | Office + Site Based

RE:Group is an established mining, civil and haulage contractor supporting resource projects across Australia.

Over the past several years, the business has continued to grow its operational footprint and invest significantly in its fleet, which now includes more than 400 items of mobile plant, heavy haulage equipment, trucks, light vehicles and supporting assets.

As the business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced National Maintenance Manager – Fleet & Assets to provide leadership and oversight of our maintenance function across the organisation.

This is a senior operational role responsible for ensuring our fleet is safe, reliable, available and maintained in a commercially sustainable manner.

The Role

Reporting to General Manager, the National Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the performance, consistency and ongoing development of maintenance across RE:Group operations.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Leading the maintenance function across RE:Group's mining, civil and haulage operations.
- Driving fleet availability, reliability and equipment performance.
- Developing and maintaining effective planned and preventative maintenance programs.
- Overseeing breakdown management and ensuring recurring failures are properly investigated and addressed.
- Leading and supporting Maintenance Managers, Workshop Managers, Supervisors and field maintenance teams.
- Establishing consistent maintenance standards and processes across all operations.
- Reviewing asset performance and identifying opportunities to improve reliability, utilisation and lifecycle cost.
- Managing maintenance budgets, expenditure and cost control.
- Monitoring maintenance cost performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Overseeing parts management, critical spares, inventory and procurement strategies.
- Managing relationships with OEMs,



suppliers and third-party maintenance providers.
- Overseeing the commissioning, mobilisation and integration of current assets into the fleet.
- Working closely with Operations, Projects and Fleet teams to ensure maintenance planning supports operational requirements.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance systems, reporting and asset records.
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are undertaken in accordance with Re:Group's safety standards and legislative requirements.
- Developing capability within the maintenance team and supporting succession planning across the function.
- Collaborating with Fleet Operations to establish and maintain fleet specification standards for new and replacement assets, driving consistency and lifecycle cost efficiency

About You

You will be an experienced maintenance leader with a strong background in heavy mobile equipment and a demonstrated ability to lead maintenance across a complex operational environment.

To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:

- Significant maintenance leadership experience within mining, civil, heavy haulage or heavy mobile equipment.
- A relevant mechanical or heavy diesel trade qualification.
- Demonstrated experience managing a large and diverse fleet.
- Strong experience in planned maintenance, servicing, breakdown management and equipment reliability.
- A sound understanding of asset lifecycle management and maintenance cost control.
- Demonstrated experience managing maintenance budgets and commercial performance.
- Experience leading multiple workshops,



sites or geographically dispersed maintenance teams.
- Strong leadership capability and the ability to build accountability within maintenance teams.
- The ability to develop effective working relationships with Operations Managers, Project Managers, OEMs, suppliers and senior management.
- Strong planning, systems and reporting capability.
- A practical understanding of workshop and field maintenance environments.
- A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Ability to meet site access requirements, including pre‑employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.

RE:Group operates a diverse fleet across mining, civil construction, haulage and support operations, including equipment from manufacturers such as:

Mobile Plant: Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, John Deere, Hitachi and Bomag.

Heavy Vehicles: Kenworth, Western Star, Hino and Isuzu.

Light Vehicles and Support Assets: Toyota, Isuzu and a broad range of ancillary equipment.
