A highly regarded multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with multiple offices is looking for an Associate Structural Engineer to take a key leadership position.

The opportunity is particularly suited to an ambitious structural engineer who wants greater ownership of a business unit and can see themselves progressing towards Director and potentially shareholder level in the longer term.

With an established senior leadership group planning for the future, the business is looking to bring through its next generation of leaders.

You will take responsibility for the structural engineering division within the Western Sydney office, combining technical and project leadership with team management, client relationships and the continued development of the structural business.

The project portfolio is broad and includes:

- Major industrial and distribution facilities
- Large warehousing and storage developments
- Commercial and multi-storey office buildings
- Automotive showrooms and retail developments
- Entertainment and leisure facilities
- Tunnel-related structures and retaining walls
- Low to medium-rise residential developments

At Associate level,



you will be given the autonomy to lead projects and people rather than simply operate as another senior technical engineer.

You will be involved in:

- Managing and developing the structural engineering team
- Technical oversight and project delivery
- Building and maintaining key client relationships
- Working directly with the consultancy's Directors
- Mentoring and developing engineers
- Helping secure and develop new project opportunities
- Contributing to the strategic growth of the Western Sydney operation
- Progressing towards a future Director and potential shareholder position

We are looking for someone with strong Australian structural consultancy experience who has already developed leadership and client-facing capability, or an experienced Senior Structural Engineer ready to make the move into Associate-level responsibility.

The office location is conveniently positioned close to Metro services, offering an opportunity for experienced engineers living in Western or North-Western Sydney to significantly reduce the daily commute while still working on substantial projects.
