About the Role As Senior Research Services Officer, you will coordinate research services across a client portfolio, supporting researchers with tailored advice, project administration and complex Research Services and Systems (RSS) processes. Drawing on your knowledge of Curtin policies, procedures and research project lifecycles, you will work flexibly across teams to meet changing priorities and deliver responsive, high-quality service. Collaborating with RSS colleagues and key stakeholders, you will help strengthen research support, improve service delivery and contribute to Curtin’s ongoing research success.

Your responsibilities will include

- Coordinate research service activities across a client portfolio, providing senior administrative support and expert advice across RSS processes.
- Support researchers and stakeholders with responsive guidance informed by university policies, external requirements and stakeholder needs.
- Guide and support team members in day-to-day activities while contributing to improved systems, processes and service delivery.
- Collaborate with university service providers and model Curtin’s values through professional conduct, continuous improvement and flexible support.
- Oversee the development, submission and management of research grant application processes by applying your extensive experience and expertise of category 1 competitive grants in particular.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in research administration processes, streamlining procedures to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

Who we are looking for (Selection Criteria): We are looking for a proactive and service-focused professional who brings strong research administration skills,



sound judgement and a collaborative approach to supporting researchers and stakeholders.

- A relevant degree with experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience.
- Experience delivering client-focused administrative coordination in a complex environment, with a commitment to best practice and continuous improvement.
- Strong ability to interpret policies and procedures, provide accurate advice and make sound decisions on rules and entitlements.
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, communication and organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, work collaboratively and provide guidance to others.

Role Requirements

- As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role

This Fixed Term G06 level role attracts a remuneration of $99,213- $105,251 + 17% superannuation.
